Core Gameplay Elements

The core game play elements of a role-playing game are:

  • An inventory system. The character will be able to interact with certain objects in the game and add them in their inventory.
  • An equipment system. The character will have multiple equipment slots to wear armor such as helmet, gloves, shoes etc and equip weapon. The equipment system can be expanded to accommodate multiple weapon types such as one-handed, two-handed and ranged weapons.
  • A quest system. What's life without a purpose? The game will feature a quest system to guide player through the world and experience interesting characters and their stories.
  • A stat system. The player will have certain attributes such as health, armor, resistances to certain damage types, increased damage of a certain type etc.  
  • A leveling system. The player will be rewarded for progressing in the game with new weapons, armor, skills and increase in certain stats.
